The high-voltage battery 1 -AX2- will subsequently be referred  
to as “high-voltage battery”.  
Preparing for lifting, 55 and 62 kWh  
– Use mounting points -2-.  
Preparing for lifting, 82 kWh

– Secure lift arm extension/workshop hoist -VAS 6101--A-

– Secure retaining strap -T40155A--F- with shackle -VAS 691

– Tighten lifting aid -T10616--E- at mounting points of high-  
voltage battery -1- to specified torque.  
– Attach lifting aid -T10616--E- with shackle -VAS 691

CAUTION  
Risk of injury due to moving parts.  
Danger of trapping or crushing parts of the body  
– Never reach into or enter a danger zone.  
– Raise high-voltage battery.

Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ tap wrench -VAS 271 015-  
♦ thread chaser, M24 -VAS 271 013-  
DANGER  
Danger to life from high voltage.  
Electric shocks or arcs may lead to serious injuries or death.  
– Suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) must be  
worn for the subsequent work steps.  
– The subsequent work steps must be supervised by an  
additional specialist with appropriate qualification.  
– Outside the hazard area, the additional authorised special‐  
ist can support the HVE as required within the scope of his  
or her qualification.  
Put on the required protective equipment for the subsequent  
work steps:  
♦ Arc flash resistant clothing (at least APC 2, at least 318 kJ)  
♦ Helmet with arc flash resistant visor (at least APC 2, at least  
318 kJ)  
♦ Arc flash resistant gloves with nitrile glove liners (at least  
APC 2, at least 318 kJ), insulating up to at least 500 V  
♦ Safety shoes with ESD protection  
Open  
– Remove high-voltage battery 1 -AX2- ⇒ Rep. gr. 93; Re‐  
moving and installing high-voltage battery 1 [AX2], 48, 55,  
62 kWh.  
– ⇒ Rep. gr. 93; Leakage test of high-voltage battery 1 [AX2].  
– Unscrew connecting element -4-.
