Removing and installing parking brake
motor [V282]/[V283]
Removing
The left parking brake motor -V282- and right parking brake
motor -V283- will henceforth be referred to as “parking brake
motor”.
Removal and installation are described for the left side of the
vehicle as an example.
Important
•
Switch off ignition for at least 30 seconds before disconnect‐
ing electrical connector.
– Remove brake shoes, and unhook parking brake cable from
brake shoe ⇒ Rep. gr. 46; Removing and installing brake
shoes .
– Disconnect electrical connector -2- from parking brake motor
-1- .
– Press down locking lug in bracket, and turn parking brake
motor out of bracket.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Carry out basic setting of brake system using ⇒ Vehicle
diagnostic tester .
Tightening torques
