♦ The high-voltage components must not reveal any external
damage.
♦ Insulation of high-voltage cables must not be defective or
damaged.
♦ Pay attention to unusual deformations of high-voltage ca‐
bles.
Note
Defects which are found must be immediately reported to the
responsible high-voltage technician.

Infotainment system: installing digital
manual
Test and adjustment conditions

Transport mode deactivated.
Procedure
– Switch on infotainment system.
– Select Setup menu.
– Activate online mode.
– Call up messages.
If message is displayed:
“Digital manual installation - Contents installing. Please do not
switch off ignition.”
If yes
♦ Keep messages open.

♦ Otherwise: Wait for message indicating that procedure was
successful: “Digital manual installation complete - contents
were installed”
♦ Confirm and erase the message by tapping on the entry.
End of work instruction.
If no
Is one of the following error messages displayed?
“Digital manual installation - Please switch on ignition for online
connection.”
♦ Switch on ignition.
“Digital manual installation - Please change to online mode to
enable an internet connection.”
♦ »Deactivate offline mode«
“Digital manual has no internet connection - Please connect to
the internet”
♦ Move the vehicle to a location in which connection to the
internet is possible.

♦ Switch off vehicle and wait about 5 minutes. Restart proce‐
dure ⇒ page 45 .

♦ Create a DISS request to do this.
If none of the listed error messages is displayed:
♦ 1) Open help application.
♦ 2) Click user guide button in tab bar of help application.
♦ 3) Is the digital manual application open and are tiles shown
on the home screen?
♦ 4) If yes: End of work instruction.
♦ 5) If the following error message is displayed: “Digital man‐
ual could not be started?”
♦ 6) If yes: Switch off vehicle and wait about 5 minutes. Re‐
start procedure ⇒ page 45 .
