Removing and installing slotted guide
Aid of a second mechanic is required for removal and installa‐
tion of slotted guide.
Removing
– Remove moulded headliner ⇒ General body repairs, interior;
Rep. gr. 70; Roof trims; Removing and installing moulded
headliner.
– Disconnect electrical connector -2-.
– Unscrew nuts -3-, and remove slotted guide -1- from vehicle
with aid of an additional mechanic.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Start nuts -arrows-, and tighten them by hand.
– Tighten nuts in following sequence: -1-, -2-, -3-, -5- and -6-.
Alternative tightening sequence: -4-, -5-, -6-, -2- and -3-.
– Tighten remaining nuts -arrows- in random sequence.

Removing and installing sliding sunroof
adjustment control unit [J245]
The sliding sunroof adjustment control unit -J245- will hence‐
forth be referred to as “control unit”.
Removing
– Lower the moulded headliner, and place it onto head re‐
straints ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Roof
trims; Removing and installing moulded headliner.

– Disconnect electrical connectors -3-.
– Push tab -2- in direction of -arrow A-.
– Swing control unit -1- downwards, and pull it out of holder -4-
in direction of -arrow B-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– After the control unit has been renewed, conclude the test
plan for the renewal of the control unit using ⇒ Vehicle diag‐
nostic tester.

Removing and installing sunroof roller
blind
Removing
– Open sunroof roller blind completely.
If the electrical system fails to operate, the sunroof roller blind
can also be opened manually ⇒ Rep. gr. 60; Manual operation.
– Remove moulded headliner ⇒ General body repairs, interior;
Rep. gr. 70; Roof trims; Removing and installing moulded
headliner.
– Remove sunroof roller blind motor -V260- ⇒ Rep. gr. 60; Re‐
moving and installing rear sunroof roller blind motor [V260].
– Remove slotted guide ⇒ Rep. gr. 60; Removing and instal‐
ling slotted guide.
– Push sunroof roller blind -2- by hand as far as possible
towards rear -arrow A-.
