2.1
Minimum drying time for adhesives
Special standards must be adhered to when replacing bonded
glass panels. One of these standards is, for example, that a
freshly bonded glass panel must comply with the safety require‐
ments, even in an accident, following the minimum drying time.
The minimum drying time is the time from bonding in until the
vehicle is ready to be used. During the minimum drying time,
the vehicle must be parked on a level surface at room tempera‐
ture (above 15 °C).
The vehicle is safe to use only after the minimum drying time
has elapsed.
Observe minimum drying time.
The minimum drying time for 2-component window adhesive is
2 hours.
