– Disengage hook -3- in direction of -arrow A-.
– Push door control unit -1- in direction of -arrow B-, and re‐
move it.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Use ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester to code new door control
unit.
– Read and clear event memory using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic
tester.

Removing and installing rear driver
side door control unit [J926] and rear
passenger side door control unit [J927]
Removal and installation are described for the left side of vehi‐
cle as an example.
The rear driver side door control unit -J926- and rear passenger
side door control unit -J927- will henceforth be referred to as
“door control unit”.
Removing
– Remove rear door trim ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.
gr. 70; Rear door trims; Removing and installing rear door
trim.
– Deactivate vehicle’s drive system, and switch off all electrical
consumers.
– Store the vehicle key and other entry and start authorisation
systems outside the vehicle to prevent the vehicle from be‐
ing switched on unintentionally.
– Disconnect electrical connectors -2-.
