Removing and installing earth wire with  
battery monitor control unit [J367]  
The battery monitor control unit -J367- will henceforth be refer‐  
red to as “battery monitor control unit”.  
Removing  
– Disconnect battery ⇒ Rep. gr. 27; Disconnecting and con‐  
necting battery.  
– Disconnect electrical connector -2- from battery monitor con‐  
trol unit -3-.  
– Unscrew nut for jump start box negative -1-.  
– Remove earth wire with battery monitor control unit -2-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– ⇒ Rep. gr. 27; Adapt battery monitor control unit [J367].  
Tightening torques

Adapting battery monitor control unit  
[J367]  
The battery monitor control unit -J367- will henceforth be refer‐  
red to as “battery monitor control unit”.

After the installation of a new battery -A- or a new battery  
monitor control unit, the battery monitor control unit must be  
adapted.  
– Adapt battery monitoring control unit using ⇒ Vehicle diag‐  
nostic tester.
