Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– The rear lid remote release button must be heard to engage.

Removing and installing rear window  
regulator [E711]/[E713]  
The rear driver side window regulator button -E711-/rear pas‐  
senger side window regulator button -E713- will henceforth be  
referred to as “window regulator button”.  
Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side  
as an example.  
Removing  
– Remove button trim ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.  
gr. 70; Rear door trims; Removing and installing button trim.  
– Release fasteners -2-.  
– Remove window regulator button -1- in direction of -arrow-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– The window regulator button must be heard to engage.

Removing and installing starter button  
[E378]  
The starter button -E378- will henceforth be referred to as “start‐  
er button”.  
Removing  
– Remove lower steering column trim ⇒ General body repairs,  
interior; Rep. gr. 68; Compartments/covers; Removing and  
installing lower steering column trim.  
– Press together retaining clips -2-.

– Remove starter button -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– The starter button must be heard to engage.

Removing and installing electric hinged  
tow coupling attachment button [E474]  
The electric hinged tow coupling attachment button -E474- will  
henceforth be referred to as “electric hinged tow coupling at‐  
tachment button”.  
Removing  
– Detach luggage compartment side trim in area of electric  
hinged tow coupling attachment button ⇒ General body re‐  
pairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Luggage compartment trims; Re‐  
moving and installing luggage compartment side trim.  
– Disconnect electrical connector -3-.  
– Release locking lugs -2-.
