Removing and installing 12 V socket
U5/U19
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ puller -T40148-
The 12 V socket -U5- and 12 V socket -U19- will henceforth be
referred to as “12 V socket”.
The 12 V socket without illumination cannot be removed without
being damaged.
Removing
For a better view, the following work procedure is shown with
the 12 V socket removed.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to component surfaces.
– Mask off component in visible area using commercially
available adhesive tape.
– Fit puller -T40148--A- into 12 V socket -1-.
– Engage locking lugs -3- in recesses -2-, and tighten knurled
nut -4-.
– Use thrust piece -5- to pull out 12 V socket -1- via knurled
nut -6-.
– Disconnect electrical connector.
– Detach 12 V socket -1- from puller -T40148--A-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
