– Remove electric hinged tow coupling attachment button -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– The electric hinged tow coupling attachment button must be
heard to engage.

Removing and installing rear lid clo‐
sure button [E574]
The rear lid closure button -E574- will henceforth be referred to
as “rear lid closure button”.
Removing
– Using commercially available plastic wedge, pry out rear lid
closure button -1- in direction of -arrow-.
– Remove rear lid closure button -1- until electrical connector
is accessible.
– Disconnect electrical connector.
– Remove rear lid closure button -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– The rear lid closure button must be heard to engage.

Removing
– Remove lower rear lid trim ⇒ General body repairs, interior;
Rep. gr. 70; Luggage compartment trims; Removing and
installing lower rear lid trim.
– Pull out spreader rivets -1-.

– Remove rear lid warning buzzer -H32--2- until electrical con‐
nector -3- is accessible.
– Disconnect electrical connector -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing front interior
light [WX1]
The front interior light -WX1- will henceforth be referred to as
“front interior light”.
Removing
NOTICE
Risk of damage to component surfaces.
– Before using a lever, always mask off the components
installed in visible areas using commercially available ad‐
hesive tape.
– Using commercially available plastic wedge, pry out front
interior light -1- in rear area in direction of -arrow A-.
– Disconnect electrical connectors.
– Remove front interior light -1- in direction of -arrow B-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– The front interior light must be heard to engage.
