Removing and installing washer fluid  
reservoir  
The windscreen and rear window washer pump -V59- will  
henceforth be referred to as “windscreen and rear window  
washer pump”.  
Removing  
– Remove front left wheel housing liner ⇒ General body re‐  
pairs, exterior; Rep. gr. 66; Wheel housing liner; Removing  
and installing front wheel housing liner.  
– Place commercially available drip tray under washer fluid  
reservoir.  
– Release locking lug -2-.  
– Pull filler neck -1- upwards out of bracket on lock carrier -3-.  
For a better view, the following work procedure is shown with  
the bumper cover removed.  
NOTICE  
Risk of leakage.  
– The washer fluid reservoir and the filler neck are not inten‐  
ded to be separated from each other.  
– Disconnect electrical connectors -2- and -5-.  
– Release and pull off washer fluid hoses -4- on windscreen  
and rear window washer pump -3-.  
– Pull retainer -1- for wiring harness off washer fluid reservoir.  
– Unscrew bolts -1-.

– Pull washer fluid reservoir -2- off guide rails, and remove it.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Note  
To prevent incorrect connection of the washer fluid hoses on  
the windscreen and rear window washer pump, the connec‐  
tions on the windscreen and rear window washer pump and  
washer fluid hoses are colour-coded. The connection pieces of  
the washer fluid hoses must be inserted in the corresponding  
colour-coded connections of the windscreen and rear window  
washer pump during installation.

Removing and installing washer pump  
[V59]  
The windscreen and rear window washer pump -V59- will  
henceforth be referred to as “windscreen and rear window  
washer pump”.  
Removing  
– Detach front left wheel housing liner ⇒ General body repairs,  
exterior; Rep. gr. 66; Wheel housing liner; Removing and  
installing front wheel housing liner.  
– Place commercially available drip tray under washer fluid  
reservoir.  
– Disconnect electrical connector -2-.
