Removing and installing operating unit
for lighting [EX59]
The operating unit for lighting -EX59- will henceforth be referred
to as “operating unit for lighting”.
Removing
– Remove dash panel trim on driver side ⇒ General body re‐
pairs, interior; Rep. gr. 68; Compartments/covers; Removing
and installing dash panel trim on driver side.
– Release locking lugs -2-.

– Remove operating unit for lighting -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– The operating unit for lighting must be heard to engage.

Removing and installing centre switch
module in dash panel [EX22]
The centre switch module in dash panel -EX22- will henceforth
be referred to as “switch module in dash panel”.
Removing
– Remove display unit for front information display and operat‐
ing unit control unit -J685-. ⇒ Communication; Rep. gr. 91;
Infotainment system; Removing and installing display unit
for front information display and operating unit control unit
-J685-.
– Release locking lugs -1-.
– Remove switch module in dash panel -2-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– The switch module in dash panel must be heard to engage.
