NOTICE  
Risk of damage to component surfaces.  
– Before using a lever, always mask off the components  
installed in visible areas using commercially available ad‐  
hesive tape.  
– Use a commercially available plastic wedge to lever out illu‐  
minated vanity mirror -1- at recess -arrow-.  
– Disconnect electrical connector.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing dynamic light  
strip 1 for information in dash panel  
[L385]  
Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ hook -T10538-  
The dynamic light strip 1 for information in dash panel -L385-  
will henceforth be referred to as “dynamic light strip”.  
Removing  
– Remove A-pillar trims ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.  
gr. 70; Trims, interior; Removing and installing A-pillar trim.  
– Remove cover for dash panel/head-up display ⇒ General  
body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Dash panel; Removing  
and installing cover for dash panel/head-up display.  
– Use hook -T10538--A- to unhook dynamic light strip -1- on  
left side in direction of -arrow-.

– Secure dynamic light strip -1- to prevent it from engaging  
again.  
– Use hook -T10538--A- to unhook dynamic light strip -1- on  
right side in direction of -arrow-.  
– Disconnect electrical connector.  
– Remove dynamic light strip -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– The dynamic light strip must be heard to engage.

Removing and installing light 1 for  
front centre console background light‐  
ing [L193]  
The light 1 for centre console background lighting -L193- will  
henceforth be referred to as “centre console background light‐  
ing”.  
Removing  
– Remove centre console insert ⇒ General body repairs, inte‐  
rior; Rep. gr. 68; Centre console; Removing and installing  
centre console insert.  
– Release locking lugs -3-.
