Removing and installing battery tray  
Removing  
– Remove battery -A- ⇒ Rep. gr. 27; Removing and installing  
battery A.  
– Unscrew bolts -2-.  
– Remove cable tie from battery tray -1-.  
– Remove battery tray -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Tightening torques

Visual inspection of battery A  
WARNING  
Risk of highly caustic battery acid.  
– Keep suitable counteragent ready, e.g. soapy water.  
WARNING  
Leaking battery acid.  
Risk of burns to the body and corrosion of the vehicle.  
– Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety gog‐  
gles.  
– Battery must not be tilted.  
– Neutralise sulphuric acid as soon as possible.
